Regular passport applicants can choose the opten for post-police verification : According to MEA The Ministry of External Affairs has further simplified the process of applying for a new passport, with the option of post-police verification. The facility was earlier available only to applicants under the Tatkaal scheme. Regular applicants can take themselves of this facility at no extra cost.
